Moon Festival is a once a year event. It falls on the Autumnal Equinox, and to Chinese it means family time gathering/reunion time and peace. Full moon is a symbol of prosperity, happiness and family reunion. The food that will be in the festival most definitely is mooncakes.

In SL, it will open tomorrow Octobet 1st. Everyone can join and enjoy the beautiful sim. Aside of shopping in variety of different vendors, there’s also free games which you can play and gain prizes. The sim is beautifully decorated, perfect for moon viewing with your family and friends so don’t miss it!

Let’s talk about Feeds and Flickr!

Here at SL Blogger Support we always try to come up with tips and advice to support the blogger community of Second Life. Instead of writing another article, or wall of text if you will, with a list of ‘things a blogger needs to know/do/no do’, I would like to ask YOU, the bloggers of Second Life, to help eachother.

There are a few questions that seem to return on a regular basis, in groupchat and on other platforms (e.g. Facebook, Plurk, Twitter and Flickr), mainly regarding the fashion-blogs: 1) the amount of views/favs/followers some designers require when one wants to apply for a brand and 2) the number of SL Feeds a blog needs to be syndicated in.

Some, not all, creators/designers, only want bloggers who have – let’s say, a minimum of 1000 views per picture on Flickr and their blog needs to be in ‘several’…

Bask in the Beauty of Pink

I’m so excited since couple days ago when I saw the preview of Akeruka latest mesh head that would be released for Cosmetic Fair. Please note I do love Akeruka heads, but I don’t see many asian looking heads that are pretty, cute, and suit my style everyday. So even until now I’m still so excited and happy with this new Kioko head that was released for Cosmetic Fair this round. The theme is Tokyo Street Fashion if I’m not mistaken. It’s one of the styles that I love personally.

This head doesn’t come with a lot of expressions like the previous heads. But still, this head has the standard lips plus 3 lips expression options as well as blinker on the expression HUD. As always, it comes with 7 different skintones and few eyeshadow options, lashes, and lipsticks on the head HUD. And along with the mesh head, SlackGirl also released lipstick, lashes and eyeshadow for Kioko head. It’s another thing that excited me. I always love love soft gradient lips, something I also wear in RL and SlackGirl Milly lips are probably my new favorite set of lip applier now. It has 8 colors in the HUD. It fits perfectly on Akeruka Kioko head, but I’m sure it also looks pretty on other Akeruka mesh heads. I’ve yet to try it because I’ve been wearing this head ever since I got it yesterday 😀 So yay I got my new favorite head now that I can use for my daily wear.
