I’m actually not a really huge Death Note fan. People just have been calling me Misa since many years ago before I knew what Death Note was, until someone on an online game asked me if I liked Death Note and Misa Amane, and oblivious me was like who? Then I checked it out and loved her character. Until now, I still haven’t finished watching the anime, still too long from the ending actually but cosplaying as Misa is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve never thought I’d eventually do it… on sl haha. Putting the outfit together is probably the most fun thing, since there’s no actual Misa full costume and accessories that I found. I had to make do. I know some stores have close to similar Misa hair, but at the moment I couldn’t remember which one and this is kinda on impulse so I had no time to search one by one and just used what I could find and already have. I actually have Misa hair but it’s flexi and kinda not really suitable for this photo haha.
I know Misa is supposedly madly in love with Light all day everyday, but I can’t find a Light yet. Well I know a friend named Light, but I don’t think if I’d ask him to take a Light Misa photo with me haha so I grabbed my friend Nick and he got to cosplay as L. This might look like a weird combination to some, but I’ve always liked L more than Light anyway so I’ve always wanted to see L and Misa together (maybe not romantically). I’m also glad somehow the items I put together last minute helped me look like Misa Amane a bit. While the hair is not the usual Misa’s trademark hair, but I think it’s really cute and still Misa ish. So I’m pretty content with the result at the moment 😀
